Very little competitive running in 2006, with Rosemarie struggling with her 'dead' leg.
17th Sep 2006 | 11.5 miles, off-road, hills
Venue: | Lynton, Devon. | |
Travelling time: | about 3 hours.
Weather: | Heavy showers before race.
Comments: | Our 7th visit, details just the same as last year. Rosemarie still got 'dead' left leg and walking all up-hills, but enjoyable event anyway.

29th Oct 2006 | 10.1 miles, off-road, hills (a.k.a Dorset 3 Peaks)
Venue: | Shillingstone, Dorset.
Travelling time: | about 1 hour.
Weather: | Warm, sunny. | ||||||||||
Comments: | Having persuaded first-timers Vince and Graham that there would be
lots of that 'lovely' mud, and threatening they might need water-wings
at the river crossing, it was unusually dry this year
(can we blame global-warming?).
I stuck with my pre-planned tactic of walking up every gradient,
since my dodgy leg still won't push uphill, but I had plenty of company. Alec and John Hunt both had to retire half-way with injury.

10th Dec 2006 | Road | |
Venue: | Burton. | |
Travelling time: | 10mins.
Weather: | Cold, cloudy, windy.
Comments: | Rosemarie entered this back in June, hoping leg might have improved by now.
Decided to participate anyway, even though leg still bad. Managed to complete it, a lot slower than usual of course, but only walked a couple of times.
